Finger Wharf is a huge timber-piled building on Woolloomooloo Bay. Also called Woolloomooloo Wharf, it is the longest wooden wharf in Sydney Harbour, and believed to be the largest timber-piled building in the world.

Finger Wharf was built in 1915. It measures 410 meters (1,345 ft) long and 64 meters (210 ft) wide. It was the site where soldiers from Australia left to fight the First and Second World Wars, and after 1945, it became the entry point for immigrants to Australia.

By the 1970's Finger Wharf had fallen into disrepair and in 1987, was close to being demolished by the state government. The decision to demolish it created such a huge public outcry that the wharf was instead preserved and restored. Today it houses a boutique hotel, loft-style suites and upscale private residences. Finger Wharf gained international exposure when Australia film star Russell Crowe paid A$14 million for a penthouse there, resulting in it becoming one of the hottest real estate in Australia.
